Sunday May 2nd 1915 Fannie invited us down there for dinner. It looked so much like rain we did not go to church. Had a pleasant day home at 5:30. A severe storm early in evening put out the light. Monday May 3rd 1915 I sewed a little and went to town in afternoon to have Mrs Emmons fit my dress. It rained some. I got house at 5:40 very tired. More rain at supper time. I read in evening. Tuesday May 4th 1915 I was at home sewing all day. I fixed the front to my dress that had pink silk in it. weather unpleasant. Wednesday May 5th 1915 I went to town at 12:15 and got material for another dress for Mrs Emmans to make. she fitted my silk. I came down town for more trimmings home at 5:40. Letter from Warner McCall. It was 21 years today since the big hail storm. We lived on Hedges place. Thursday May 6th 1915 A very unpleasant day. I fixed the collar to my light cloak and did other sewing. I wrote to Lydia in the evening. William Byington 17 years old today. Hattie has reached Baltimore. Friday May 7th 1915 Will is 67 years old today. I went to town at 12:15 and wrote some letters at the store. Then got trimmings for my second dress and went up to Mrs Emmons. I did not get home till 5:40. We had a letter from The Reed girls today. They say it will take a week to make the trip home on the Ohio river.
