Wednesday May 19th 1915 After a good nights rest left Columbus at 9:30 on a trolly line for for Chillicothe. Reached there at 11:30 and went directly to "The Warner House." After dinner called on Aunt Mary Dunlap. The Tomlinsons and Mattie and John Stitts found us at the hotel. After supper had a ride with Judge Goldsberry in a new car. weather cold. Thursday May 20th 1915 It rained all day so we were not out of the hotel. John and Mattie Stilts spent the day with us. I wrote some letter. Friday May 21st 1915 Mattie came down and we went to see Mrs Esker and in afternoon called at Dunlaps, Stilts & Hermons. Evening at hotel. Saturday May 22nd 1915 We came to Piketon before noon. John & Mattie were at the station when we left. It rained most of the afternoon so we stayed at the old hotel. Took a walk in the evening called at Browns. Letters from Rob & Hattie. Monday May 24th 1915 I wrote letters and took then to the office. Will & I were at Mrs Batemans to dinner. Then went with Jake Ware to the cemetery. Then to the farm where Will was born. Later Will went to the depot to see his cousin, Mrs Lape from Waverly. We spent the evening down at Mrs Browns.
