Friday July 30th 1915 A showery day. Will helped me do a big washing and I got the things dry so I ironed them before dark. Edith Whetstone was born 34 years ago today. Saturday July 31st 1915 I was busy doing baking and cleaning. Did a little sewing and wrote some letters in afternoon. The sun shone and it was very warm today. I went down town in evening. Sunday August 1st 1915 I felt very tired and after dinner slept most of the afternoon. It stormed so I could not go to Chautauqua at night. Monday August 2nd 1915 I was busy most of forenoon. I went to Chautauqua in afternoon. Then over to Coras. It stormed, so I had to stay all night. Tuesday August 3d 1915 Went to Chautauqua in afternoon and met Hattie there. She came home with me to supper. We went back together and she went home with Cora. It is cold enough for November and rainy. Wednesday August 4th 1915 Busy all morning. Went to Chautauqua in afternoon alone. Hattie did not come over. Will went with me in evening. The exercises have all been fine. But weather bad for it. Thursday August 5th 1915 Was busy all forenoon getting things ready to go down to stay with Hattie. Will went down town after dinner. I took a bushel of things and went through Chautauqua grounds. Hattie has such a cold we did not go back in evening. A letter from Lizzie Lindley wanting me to come right away.
