Wednesday October 18th 1899 Henry came down today and finished the new kitchen Julia and I papered and cleaned up the pantry. The boys are husking corn what time they have. Thursday October 19th 1899 We cleaned up the shed kitchen this morning and Will put in a new floor for me. Julia washed quilts in the afternoon and Will put in shelves and strips for hooks in the new kitchen. I wrote letters in the evening. Frank Stevens was here awhile. Friday October 20th 1899 As soon as we got the breakfast over let the stove cool of and Will, Julia and I moved it into the new kitchen. We got it out in time to get early dinner Will and I went up town in the afternoon. I was over home to see Flo Watson who was spending the day there Saturday October 21st 1899 We got the carpet down in the dining room early and Will put up the stove before he went to town with the butter. In the afternoon Julia and I put carpet on the kitchen and fixed up the summer kitchen in great shape. It has been a very busy week and a great deal accomplished
