Sunday December 3rd 1899 It was a cold rough day. We spent all the time at home reading and resting We were to have gone over to George Stevens today if the weather had been fit. Monday December 4th 1899 A cold day. I did the work and moved our things to the south bed room up stairs. I was regulating bureau drawers and putting summer clothes away. Thursday December 5th 1899 Today has been nearly as cold as yesterday and I employed it about the same way. The boys are busy getting things about the place ready for winter. Wednesday December 6th 1899 Will went to town early this morning for Mrs Simpsons folks she was so bad. When he came back we went down to Ada's for dinner and a visit with some of the other cousins who were there. Thursday December 7th 1899 It was such a nice day. I had Julia to help me We dressed ten ducks, washed and churned. Will took her home after supper. The man who dehorned the cattle stayed here all night. Charlie Williams was here all the evening
