Tuesday December 12th 1899 Will had a hard day with the snow on the ground and the care of so much stock. I was busy all forenoon with the work and sewed some in the afternoon and evening. Weather still cloudy. Wednesday December 13th 1899 The weather a little more moderate. I was busy with sewing all the time I could get from the regular work till late bed-time. Thursday December 14th 1899 I sewed a little in the forenoon Will did nearly all the washing and churned for me in the afternoon. I dressed a chicken to send up to the church tomorrow. Friday December 15th 1899 Will took the things to town and did not get home till four oclock. I dressed two turkeys today and cleaned up the house some. I read all the evening. Weather cold. Saturday December 16th 1899 Will went to town this morning and was home for late dinner. I ironed and did some baking. I went down to Simpsons and on down to Callies late in the afternoon I did mending in the evening and read some. It looks like snow. [Hart?] & Ossie here awhile
