Friday April 6th 1900 It was a nice day. Will burned stalks. I was busy with the work all forenoon and did some mending in the afternoon. We shut the turkeys in the barn. I am nearly tired out looking after them. Saturday April 7th 1900 I fixed the dinner and started to town by nine oclock with the butter. I had so many things to see to that I did not get over home till noon. Lee is about the same. I was at Fannys a little while. Will got some money from Conway. The man Will hired the first of week and who has been up to Elmer Andersons came back tonight. Sunday April 8th1900 I was busy with the work most of the forenoon and read all the afternoon. John Mc. was here all the evening. The weather is cooler again. Monday April 9th 1900 I baked bread and churned in the forenoon besides getting the dinner. The boys began to put in oats down on Eds land. I was up to Mrs Gregorys in the afternoon. It is real cold again. I set two more hens tonight This is Mays birthday she is 25 years old
