Thursday August 1st 1901 The girls were down to West Liberty yesterday so came out to see me today. We had a good visit. The day was not so hot. Will was working at fixing the well with the help of Will Hedges. I went down to the church for ice-cream. Friday August 2nd 1901 Will took the butter to town this morning. I did a little sewing and read and rested in the afternoon. Charlie was away threshing. Saturday August 3rd 1901 Ida and I were both busy all the forenoon with the work. Will was over to the pasture He went down town in the afternoon and I went with him down home to spend afternoon I read in the evening. Weather cooler. no rain yet. Sunday August 4th 1901 I was not away from the house. I helped with the work and read and rested some. Will slept a great part of the time when not at his work. Monday August 5th 1901 Charlie and another man went to help thresh. We did churning and washing. Dorothy brought Mother out and I took her home after supper
