Thursday September 26th 1895 I did not feel well and did not accomplish much at the sewing I had expected to do today. Then Sue King and a gentleman were here to interrupt me. I saw a stove down town yesterday I liked and Will went down this morning and bought it. In the afternoon he went to Stevens for seed wheat and brought - "Belle" home. I wrote to Lorna Mason in the evening. Friday September 27th 1895 I was busy with the work all forenoon. I went down town after dinner to get some things. I had so much to see to that I did not have time to go over the river and it was late when I got my supper work done. I had chicken to dress and yeast to fix for tomorrow. Saturday September 28th 1895 It rained a little early in the morning. Will put the pipe on the new stove after breakfast & I built fire in it. I was all forenoon getting up my dinner. John McCollister & Henry Birds families were both here for the day. The boys went to town in the afternoon. Will is nearly laid up with rheumatism. It has turned very much colder. I sewed some in the evening. Sunday September 29th 1895 I was busy all forenoon doing the work and trying to make Will comfortable. After dinner Oliver walked with me over to Uncle Jims to attend the funeral exercises for Aunt Mary. A great many of the relatives were there. I did my evening work and went to bed early. It made me nearly sick to go to the funeral it was so sad. Poor Aunt Mary is gone.
