Monday October 14th 1895 We got up early and Oliver helped me wash. It was a fine day the clothes got dry so I ironed them before supper. I baked bread made yeast, cake, cookies and got the meals. The boys made a barrel of cider. Tuesday October 15th 1895 I swept up the home and got the dinner. Will brought Mrs. Luce out about ten oclock. After dinner I fixed up the valise and dressed myself to go. Will took me to the depot. We were early as were the rest of the folks from home and we had quite a visit. Charlie did not go with us. [Kelie] and Bird met us at the depot We had supper and spent evening visiting at the Harris House. In the afternoon Bird took us up to Miss Lewis in her buggy. We wallked back just at supper time. Cal Eggleston ate supper with us. Later Bird had lady callers to spend the evening. I was tired and we did not sit up late. Thursday October 17th 1895 We walked out on west hill called on Frankie Winters and Mrs Laverty. Came back past the dry goods store. After dinner talked with the folks till half past two & wrote to Will, Hattie, & Vene. [Kelie?] and Bird took us to the depot.
