Sunday April 26th 1896 It rained this morning so we could not go to church. Charlie & Tishie were here to spend the day. After supper Will and I went over to Uncle Jims for the turkey eggs I was to get. It was bed-time when we got home. Monday April 27th 1896 I set more hens, looked after little chickens and got the dinner. I sewed all the afternoon. Seth is plowing and Will is cutting slaths. Will and I went down to Elmer Andersons after supper. Ida gave me more turkey eggs. Tuesday April 28th 1896 I did more work with the chickens and got the dinner. I sewed all afternoon. I finished up my black silk skirt and jet waist. We expected to go over home to an entertainment but it looked like rain and we gave it up. Wednesday April 29th 1896 Will went in town with the marketing this morning. I got a little time to sew in the morning. Will said Mr Robinson told him Lizzie was in town and might be out in the afternoon but she did not come. I am making trimming for my wrap. Thursday April 30th 1896 It was a very pleasant day. The boys worked all day clearing up around the barns, before the finish plowing. I did the usual work and sewed what time I could get. The folks did not come out today. Friday May 1st 1896 It rained quite hard in the morning but Will got to
