38 For ye prick of a Thorn Take wheat. flower and temper it with red wine boile them together to ye thickness of a salve and lay it on so hot as you can bear it To cure a corn Take ye Quantity of a walnut of yeast yt is hard put to it a little dried salt finely powdered work them well together and put it in a close box make a plaster and bind it to ye corn In ye year 1757 there was a wheat corn planted in a mans garden in Garnley which brought forth 142 [years?] 3 and 6 Inches Long and in them was 5600 corns Set in november and ripe in August J. Tupper
