For the biting of a mad dog Take four ounces of Rue four Ounces of Treacle four Spoonfuls of Scraped pewter and four Ounces of Garlick Stampe ye Garlick and boil all in a Quart of Strong ale.. Strain this drink let that which is thick be applyed to ye wound and take nine Spoonfuls of ye Cleare for nine days togather. 1797 died one John Walncy a Carpenter Aged 124 had a 11 wives 17 Children five Liveing when he died whose Ages added together made 326 years
