December the 24th 1739 A frost begun which Continued untill February the 26th 1740 The same yeare no rain from December the 23rd to march the 26 after that cold frosty morning with sharp cutting winds tel april ye 12th. then rain with very cold wind and frosty mornings may the first a deep snow in some places 2 foot deep and in some places 4 Inches. a very dry time no rain from april ye 12th to July the 12th and then put a Smale Shower. August the 2th a brave raine so we may Say there was no raine from December the 2th to August ye 2th of any value att amesbury. the same year no wheat cut in Amesbury tell August the 18th. mr reves of bulford cut no wheat yt year till August the 28th
