6th Friday Jan 12th 1872 Had school today in the afternoon even had some very interesting rhetorical exercises Rob was out our only visitor got home a little earlier than usual I helped about the supper and wrote a note to Mr Wright and a few lines to Pete Had not got dressed yet when Mr Huebner came we attended an entertainment at the chapel. it was very interesting given by the ladies society  played cards awhile after we came home. Mr H_ had a letter from Palmer with him. Saturday Jan 13th 1872 Stayed at home all day ironed in the forenoon and done some baking in the afternoon Mother went to town after dinner Arth Folsom was here for supper and him and Rob went to Coralville to see about their exhibition. Had two letters today one from Dr Harrington and the other from Lou Reeves contained her picture which she wants me to send to Pete Weather pleasant thawed some today Dr Harringtons letter contained some very interesting items he reports the folks all well.
