9th Saturday Jan 20th 1872 Did not get up very early this morning and took us most of the day to do up the Saturdays work, had dinner at three oclock immediately after I dressed and went to town got me a pair of snow shoes paid $2.75 for them was into the store a moment to see Mr Huebner but he was not there left him a note on the desk. After I had run around town awhile I went up to Sallies and stayed till eight oclock when Rob came and we went to the sociable at the University enjoyed it very well indeed stayed till ten oclock Mr H_ accompanied me home he staid awhile after we came home. Weather cold. Sunday Jan 21st 1872 A pleasant day for winter time the folks came up about eleven oclock we had just got our work done up Charlie had gone to the valley yesterday and he came up with them Jim and C_ went to town before dinner and Mr H_ came home with them I helped get the dinner and waited on the table Mother and Hattie done up the work Mr Huebner and I went to the Universalist church tonight Miss Chapin
