16th Saturday Feb 3rd 1872 Mother was in town all day and I ironed and done the Saturdays work baked bread and two kinds of cake. Had a note from Lizzie she has not gone home yet she wanted me to come down this afternoon but it was impossible Had a letter from Cousin Venie was very glad to hear from her. The folks there are all very well Wrote some to Pete tonight will finish tomorrow. Sunday Feb 4th 1872 Almost as stormy and bad as last one after I had helped do up the work I finished my letter to Pete wrote sixteen pages. Was down to Thornburys in the afternoon when about half way up the hill coming home I was overtaken by Mr Huebner Him and I went down to Robinsons tonight Lizzie has not gone home yet We spent the evening very pleasantly there It is some pleasanter tonight. had lunch after we came home Father is not well tonight I am getting better of my cold but very slowly. Lizzie gave me a picture of herself and Scott.
