27th over to Miss Chapins with Anna Fletcher and we went up to the hall tonight Arth came home with me I was fearful tired Got yarn today to make Father a scarf it snowed some last night but was very warm and pleasant today Wednesday Feb 28th 1872. Taught today when I came home John Anderson was here we got supper over early and John Charlie and Hatt got an early start down to Uncle Jims I done up the work and then dressed to go to the hall Arth went over with me The tableaux were fine every one said Did not feel like going down there I wrote Mr Huebner a note to that effect this morning. The evening was pleasant but dark. After the performances I went into the festival had supper saw some of my friends looked at the tables and came home early there was a great many there and the prospect was they were going to have a very pleasant time But I knew it would not do for me to stay there all the evening or they would think I did not want to go down to Jims I presume Chas will be very angry anyway.
