47th Wednesday April 10th 1872 Mother and Aunty Ogden went visiting out to Mrs Hartsocks today after I got the dinner over I dressed up and went to town went into the store and Mr Huebner was determined that I should take a ride I consented to go and stayed at the store while he went to the stable after the team We were all over town and out east had such a pleasant ride did not get home till nearly night. Helped about the work and wrote a few lines to Mr H_ Charlie went to Peoria today. Wrote a few lines to Charlie. Very pleasant, went to bed early. Thursday April 11th 1872 Mother went to Mrs Millers today and I did the work and Hattie went to town it has been a very windy disagreeable day Hatt got some letters out of the office and one for me from Mansfield she let blow away and lost it I had a note from Mr Huebner and one from Mr Stapleton Wrote a few lines to Pete and sent to Chicago and a letter to his Sister and answered Mr Stapletons note Then went to town to put them in the office Mr Huebner walked home with
