87th Thursday August 1st 1872. After we did up the work this morning Hatt and I ironed some Mother went of up the river on an errand. Mr Huebner was here a few moments also Lorna and Mollie Mr Huebner and I took a ride down to the valley this evening enjoyed it splendidly it was so very pleasant stayed till after supper and did not get home till bed-time Mollie Briggs and her husband arrived here from Ohio tonight. Friday August 2nd 1872 I was here alone most of the forenoon Mother went to town and Hatt to a friend Laura was over a little awhile. When Mother came home Mrs Middleton came with her I got the dinner and then over to Laura and from there to town Mr Huebner walked home with me and spent the evening. Saturday August 3rd 1872. We got the work done up real early Hatt laid down and went to sleep I went to reading and Mother went to town I did not do much but read. late in the afternoon I ran over to Laura's a few moments it rained very hard this evening
