96th the Dentist and I had it pulled. We rode around most of the afternoon In the evening Dr Harrington and Tommy spent a few hours with us. Still very warm. Tuesday August 27th 1872 In the morning Jennie and I went down town I had such a good letter from Mr H_ he is now in Waterloo Iowa. I answered his letter and wrote to Laura & Charlie In the evening we all went riding again stopped at the ice-cream rooms, it is somewhat cooler this evening. Wednesday August 28th 1872 John Anderson took Jennie and I down town this morning We stayed to see the show come in. came home at noon with Uncle. In the afternoon we all stayed at home and sewed. We had supper early and then got ready to go to the show it looked like rain but Ira took me and John took Jennie. Had a good time and the show was excellent. Thursday August 29th 1872 In the forenoon we sewed some after doing the morning work After dinner Vene Ett & I dressed and went down town Vene took baby with her We stopped at Esthers awhile I got
