103rd a ride went down to Duncans for my gloves Ira did not get home tonight. Tuesday September 17th 1872 They washed this morning and Ira came home he went on to Peoria and did not try to get back. In the afternoon I wrote to J.J.H. Ett and I went out in the country on an errand in the evening Jen, Ett and myself went down town did not stay long went to bed early. Wednesday September 18th 1872 Jennie and Ett went to the timber this morning after plums while Vene and I were ironing. In the afternoon they were putting up fruit When Jim came home to supper he brought me three letters one from J.J.H. one from Charlie and one from Bob I sat up pretty late writing to Mr Huebner. Thursday September 19th 1872 This morning I wrote to Charlie and Jim and I went down town after fruit cans. It has been an awful windy disagreeable day In the evening Ira took Jennie and I down to the Wooden Wedding at Mrs Sanders I enjoyed myself just tip-top. It was the first party of the kind I ever attended.
