139th Tuesday January 14th 1873 I rode out to school with Charlie Father came after me in the evening it was storming terribly and Hattie went out with me today. When we came home Mr Huebner was here he staid till after supper and spent the evening Wednesday January 15th 1873 I rode out to school with Charlie it thawed all day. Mr Huebner came out to the school house for me We went down to Jim McCollisters it began to snow and blow also we came right back home. Mr H_ spent the evening here. Thursday January 16th 1873 Charlie took me out to school this morning it was intensely cold. Mr H_ came after me in the evening and We went down to Robinsons before we came home Mr H_ stopped a few moments and then bidding us all good-by went back to town intending to start to Chicago on the evening train. I sewed some in the evening and went to bed early. Friday January 17th 1873 Father took me out to school this morning and just as school was out
