142nd Saturday January 25th 1873 Just as soon as I could get ready I went over to town. I got me some muslin and other things and went up to Esthers to do some [tucking?] I did not get through till after night Rob and Hatt were over to the sociable so they came over for me to come home with them. recieved $18.75 school wages Sunday January 26th 1873 Mother and Father went up to Aunty Walkers today I wrote a letter to Aunt Mellisa, Cousin Ira and Mr Huebner. did not dress up or go away from the house all day. Went to bed early. Monday January 27th 1873 Went to school today When I came home I found two letters from Mr H_ I was busy sewing all the evening. Tuesday January 28th 1873 Oh it was most a terrible cold day but I went to school I helped get the supper and then sat down to my sewing. If it moderates by tomorrow night I am going out with some of my scholars for a sleigh ride and oyster supper.
