167th Monday April 28th 1873 Just after day light this morning the Market Hall building burned very little was saved from the burning building and two men were killed and three injured by the falling walls; The girls did not go to school today, this afternoon Mother and them went to town to see the ruins. Anna Fletcher called here in the afternoon and Mr Huebner was here too. In the evening I practiced some and went to bed early. Tuesday April 29th 1873 We washed today We had only just got through and I changed my dress when Mr Huebner rode over then him and I went out riding till supper time He spent the evening here and as the weather was some-what disagreeable stayed all night. Charlie Corwine was here today. Wednesday April 30th 1873 Mother went to the valley today and it took me all day to iron. Mr Huebner was here for dinner.
