168th Thursday May 1st 1873 Rather a gloomy first of May it rained nearly the whole day. In the afternoon Mr Huebner rode over from town with Charlie. He spent the evening here. Friday May 2nd 1873 It was a disagreeable cold morning. I stayed at home and sewed all day. Went to bed early in the evening. Saturday May 3rd 1873 I sewed till almost noon and as soon as I ate my dinner cleaned the house up for Sunday. I then dressed and went to town Minervia came home with me and Mr Huebner was over in the evening, We called to see Mollie. It was Oh such a pleasant evening. Sunday May 4th 1873 Charlie and Minervia went to the valley today. I wrote letters one to Cousin Mattie and one to Bertie and Lillie. Mr Huebner came over before night and as soon as we had supper we attended the Baptist church. In the afternoon we had a whole houseful of callers from town Charlie and Minervia came home early
