175th Wednesday June 4th I baked cake all day. After supper went to town to get a few things we needed. Father went away tonight to Kansas and Charlie started to Chicago this morning. Thursday June 5th 1873 We were busy all day did some baking, cleaned the house all over and got an early supper As soon as that was over we set the table up stairs and got the kitchen ready to dance in. The company began to come about nine oclock there was over fifty here and then not near all of them came. every body seemed to enjoy themselves and it was just getting day-light when we went to bed. John Anderson and the McCollister girls did not go home tonight. Friday June 6th 1873 Of course we felt happy and lively today. It took nearly all the forenoon to wash the dishes and clean up the house In the afternoon John and the girls went home. I rode over to town with them. I had a letter from J.J. wrote to him and expressed him some cake. Chas got home.
