188th Wednesday July 30th 1873 Mother went to town this morning I was at work on my old blue skirt. Ella Robinson was here and Hattie went home with her. I went to town in the afternoon. I took supper at Mrs McCalls. I did not get home till dark. Charlie and Lee went to the show tonight. Thursday July 31st 1873 I was sick all last night. I sewed some on my blue skirt I did not feel like sewing much. Mother went to town. Friday August 1st 1873 I still feel sick I sewed some today Mother went to town again. I had a letter from Mr Huebner. Saturday August 2nd 1873. We had only got the morning work done when Grand-ma came. Mother was just ready to go to town on some errands so she went right along. Hattie and I did the baking. I went to town before supper. Sunday August 3rd 1873 I helped do up the work and then read till dinner-time. Emma Middleton was here for dinner. In the afternoon I wrote to J.J.H. and to Lou Sherfey besides doing some other writing. It is a cool pleasant day.
