225th Tuesday October 27th 1874 To school again today. The walking was very hard. Just as supper was ready Uncle and Ira came. We put in the evening visiting with them. rain again tonight. Letter from home. Wednesday October 28th 1874. Ira and Jennie took me out to school today I walked home in the evening. I wrote Mother a long letter today. I did my share of the ironing in the evening. Weather warm. I had a letter from Rob tonight. Thursday October 29th 1874. It was colder this morning. I walked to school and back again at night. After supper Jennie Laura Ira and myself went down to town. Spent the evening at Etts. A stormy night. Friday October 30th 1874. I walked to school this morning I had a letter from home and one from Charlie tonight. I knit all the evening. Saturday October 31st 1874. It was real cold today. I sewed all day on a calico dress for Mother. Mrs. Templeton and Maggie spent the day here. After supper us young folks took Maggie down town. It was cold riding so we came right back home. I knit a little in the evening.
