228th Thursday November 12th 1874. Wrote a note to Owen this morning. Went to school today. I sewed a little in the evening. Had a letter from home tonight. Wrote to Charlie and a letter to Adah Beecher. Friday November 13th 1874. To school again today. In the evening, Jennie Ira and I attended a social dance at the City hall. I enjoyed it very much indeed. Saturday November 14th 1874. It rained nearly all day. I sewed some. In the evening Owen came out. I enjoyed his call very much indeed. I had a letter from Charlie and one from Rob. Sunday November 15th 1874. We went to a funeral this forenoon. Late in the afternoon Ira took Tom and Ett down home and I went along for the ride. In the evening Ira took us girls to church. Monday November 16th 1874. A rainy disagreeable day. Ira took me to school and came after me in the evening. I wrote to Charlie at school and to Mother in the evening. Laura went out to school with me. Tuesday November 17th 1874. Ira took me to school and Willie came after me. I sewed a little and knit some in the evening.
