231st Saturday November 28th 1874. I finished my scarf this forenoon, and got the rest of things all ready to send home. John Hess was here all day making a sled. In the evening Ira hitched four horses to it. And we took a grand sleigh ride. Owen was with us. A year ago tonight we had our exhibition there at home. Esther Thurber and Florence Work came out home and stayed all night with us. I got me a new hat tonight. Sunday November 29th 1874. I went to church this morning. Ett and Tom came out home and spent the day with us. I did not go out in the evening but went to bed early. I wrote to Mother and Charlie. We spent a pleasant day here at home. Monday November 30th 1874. I went to school this morning with Mr McK as he was going to Freemont. Willie came after me in the evening. Tonight we went down to Mr J. Duncans to an oyster supper. Owen made one of the party. I enjoyed as well as could be expected for I was so tired. I got the things all fixed up to send home tonight, had a letter from Mother. Tuesday December 1st 1874. I walked to school this morning. I wrote to Lizzie Lindley. Lou Reeves and Bertie Croninger today.
