Roads - tugs - harbor buoy - leaden sky - rain - wind. 5/4 - Am. demo. was founded & can only succeed on a thoroughly moral basis - common respect for innate dignity of man nec. - a profound sense of justice for all - closely knit family life & sound, efficient local self-gov't required. 5/5 - Avoid the complex & fancy in thought, speech and action. Put your faith in simplicity & plain common sense. Our social & econ. prob. are fundamentally moral. Their ultimate solution depends on the home, school & church. However, we must eternally seek those laws & institutions which will most readily implement our ideals & reduce to a minimum the conditions tempting the frailties of human nature. -Sunset in the harbor - a suffusion of gold & scarlet lingering over the bank of purple clouds in the west - freighters at anchor - blinking semaphore signals, silent but articulate - ferry boat - strange, clamoring cry (squeak) of the sea gulls - quiet, peaceful. 5/6 - Order vs liberty - vigor, efficiency, incentive of private enterprise & ownership vs organizational power of gov't & its
