Profit is a legitimate incentive but it must go hand in hand with the grander aim maximum production at low costs. Monopolies formed for the purpose of restricting prod. & thus controlling the price structure is a crime against society and the free enterprise system.
How can any political candidate be really free & independent in thought & policy when he is dependent on wealthy backers for campaign funds? Is there any practical remedy for this seemingly inescapable situation?
