Went out for baseball again today - just a light workout - a little throwing, a little running, and then to the showers. What a contrast to college football practice! I'm all for it. Lolled around in my room after supper fanning the breeze with Pettit & Noonan. About 8 oclock we went down to the cadet club and played some bridge. I really should have been studying gunnery or answering some of my correspondence. Saturday - Feb. 28. Viewed some pictures of airplane engines in operation this morning. It is marvelous how they can slow down such rapid movement - they even had slow motion shots of the gas combustion causing the power stroke. This afternoon we fired the Browning .30 calibre machine gun, first at a stationery target, then as it moved back and forth in an 180° arc. My accuracy when firing a single shot at a time wasn't so bad, but when firing in bursts of five I had no little difficulty, as did everyone else.
