Monday - March 16 A new week has begun and a couple of new subjects are on the schedule - communications (procedure) and ship & aircraft recognition. The latter is apt to be rather difficult but all important. More than once during this war aviators have bombed their own ships mistakenly. Why, the Italians even escorted some English ships through the Mediterranean thinking they were their own. The fog still hangs on - there really hasn't been much good weather since we arrived here. What a showdown there is going to be this summer! If the Japs aren't stopped short of India & Australia the length of this war will be longer than any sane man cares to contemplate. I wonder what Turkey will do? Sure as shooting Germany will try to march through the near east to India. I hope that the United Nation have been fortifying & supplying their positions in India & Australia. I just have a hunch that they have. Just as Germany failed to take
