to cowboy & hill-billy songs, though. Sunday - March 22 Today didn't seem like Sunday at all. We dragged through a regular schedule of groundschool then had baseball practice - no church, no afternoon nap - no, it wasn't Sunday as far as I am concerned. Hadn't seen a show for quite some time so walked over to the theatre with more than ordinary anticipation right after supper. The name of the movie was intriguing - The Maltese Falcon - but it was misleading. It was no good at all. Monday - March 23 Two new courses this week - Maintenance and Parachutes. This Friday will be a tough test day, but it will mark the end of all day ground school, and I shall be glad. Will start flying next Monday. We beat Mich. state in the opener 5 - 2 - without the services of one, N. Kinnick. First time I ever sat on the bench throughout an entire game in any sport anytime. Didn't mind it partic-
