Saving...
Thursday - April 2 Quite well pleased with my flying again today. Landing are causing me no trouble whatsoever. McCroskey speaks well of them nearly every time. He is a good little gent, liberal with the encouragement, and makes every effort to see that you improve. He is sending me up for a solo check tomorrow. Started some celestial navigation today. Very interesting and wonderful to realize what can be done with it. Father would enjoy so much this sort of thing. Sure would like to have him for my navigator. He'd be a honey! Not much sleep or leisure these days. Have to work on my navigation every night. Feel fine, however, and thankful that things are going so well. Friday - April 3rd. Passed my solo check successfully today. There wasn't much to it - one cut-gun, two landings, nothing more. Navigation is getting a little tougher. I must stay on the ball.
