Saving...
Mustin Beach. Rather good to mingle in a party atmosphere again - dancing, pretty women, drink, and all that sort of thing. Wish that I had had a date. Sunday - April 19. Rose late, attended church, took some magazines down to Ken, and the strolled down to the beach with Bob. Lolled in the sand soaking up the sun's rays. Very comfortable, wish I had time to do more of it. Wrote a very long letter home, went to a movie, and retired not very anxious to meet the coming week. Monday - April 20 Passed my twenty hour check today. Wasn't a very masterful job by a long shot - neither good nor bad, just an average ride, I should say. Started work on plotting board in navigation. These same instruments are being used in the fleet right now. I hope I have enough sense to work for proficiency in its use.
