Saving...
certainly is an ingenious way to find your way around the ocean & back to a carrier. Pettit is on the road to recovery from his arm infection now. They will keep him at the hospital for another week though. Too bad he had to be slowed up this way. Saturday - April 25. Did pretty well on my last instruction hop today. Always easier to do a good job for your own instructor, however. Bob and I went into town for awhile tonight. Walked out in the middle Betty Grable's show "Song of the Islands" - should have known better. Stopped in at Mustin Beach for a short while then turned in for a good long sleep. Sunday - April 26 Up late and to church. Afterwards Stuart Hemingway and I went over to Pensacola beach for the afternoon. There was a good surf running and we had a good time riding the breakers in. Played a little touch ball, some one-o-cat, lolled in the sun, and in general took it easy.
