Saving...
out to be a cocktail party with lieutenants & commanders thicker than the sands of the seas, Ken & I had a good time. Would like to go again sometime. I borrowed Quillen's whites for the occasion. Test in plotting board tomorrow, but I'm going to bed early, nonetheless. Saturday - May 2. Only flew one hour this morning because of fog. My s turns to circles where better but not too sharp. Couldn't do a decent snap roll in 5 tries. Am going to have to snap out of it for the final check on Mon. Didn't do very well in plotting board - got rather careless. Sure hope I don't have to take it over. Having no whites, neither Bob nor I, we took a stroll, conversed awhile, & retired early. Loaned Pettit my car, and he & Quillen went into town. Finally, got a nice long letter
