Saving...
I shall put in for them. Thursday - May 14 Loafed around most of the morning. Wrote a letter or two, read a little, and slept a little. Had a test in general information about the Navy this afternoon. Did better than I thought I would. Saw the movie "Captain of the Clouds" in the evening. First show I've seen in a long time - pretty good. There were some beautiful technicolor shots of the Canadian wilds. Friday - May 15 Put in for my preferred duty today - fighters first, "P" boats second, and Vo-Vs third. Also took my pressure chamber test - went up to 18000 ft without oxygen, then donning our oxygen masks, on up to 35,000 for 40 minutes, and finally up to 40,000 ft for ten minutes. I got by ok. It must be some experience to actually fly around 35 or 40,000 ft above the earth. Wrote a few letters, read and snoozed.
