when I was freshman. Right now he is a full lieutenant in the reserve in charge of the enlisted flight student battalion. Friday = May 29 Finished up my primary instrument work in the air today. Will start radio tomorrow. Bob had his formation check in squadron one this morning & got by ok. He will be over at squadron three on Mon. Pettit got an up on his 1st check on squadron on time. Has only to pass the 2d check tomorrow & he will at last be past his final. Saturday - May 30. My 1st radio hop in the air went pretty well today. Of course we didn't do much but bracket a beam & one let down. Had a watch at the ACRAC from 5 to 7 & 10:30 to 12 so couldn't do much this evening. Bob & I had reserved a boat for tomorrow afternoon & Stuart
