Saving...
Hemingway had two girls lined up so we have decided to all get together for a sail tomorrow afternoon. Hope it turns out to be a good deal. Sun - May 31 It did not turn out to be a good deal. First of all there was some mixup on the reservation, & we couldn't get the boat. Secondly, the would be glamour gals were too young, too broad, too simple - I pass. Bob & I went out to Martines for supper then dropped over to Mr. McCroskey's house for a little while. Had a nice visit & an invitation to come back again. Mon. - June 1 My air hop really went quite well today - hope I can keep it up. Secured at one oclock, went back to the barracks & dashed off two or three long letters. Tues - June 2d. Flying just went fair today - kind of doped off down near the cone. Secured at one again & went out & played 18 holes of golf with Bill Barker - pretty soft. Bill Johnson
