out to Martines for supper. Mon - June 15. This was a long flying day - didn't quit until 7:30 PM. Now have only one 9 plane formation hop left. Things went a little better today, but, nonetheless, I shall be glad to get out of this squadron. Should be leaving for Miami about Fri. Tues - June 16. Rained most of the morning, and the first hop didn't go up until around noon. Had my last formation flight (9 plane) during the middle of the afternoon. It was quite smooth, & things went pretty well. Checked out and got back to the main station shortly after seven oclock. Wednesday - June 17 Spent a good part of the morning catching up on my correspondence. Wrote 4 or 5 rather short letters that should have been tended to quite some time ago. In the afternoon I started checking out of ground school as required before leaving for Miami. Happily, my navigation was all up, and I managed to check out & radio on the first test given.
