going to try to delay things until the forepart of next week so that a couple of the K.C. boys who aren't quite through yet can ride down with me. Bob & I ate supper at Martines, & then on the way back I left my car at the Ford garage to have a little work done on it - motor tuneup, wash & simonize, grease job. Thursday - June 18 Didn't get up until around 7 oclock. Spent most of the morning reading magazine articles. In the afternoon I hit a couple of buckets of balls, then went down to the beach. Bob & I lazily conversed after supper until time to retire. Friday - June 19 Did a little more checking out today. Found out I couldn't leave for Miami until Tuesday even if I wanted to - my orders haven't come in from Washington yet. Down to the beach in the afternoon - this is the life. At 5:40 PM we had a dress parade in whites for the benefit of cameraman. I detest marching & all that sort of thing. Glad I'm not in the
