Saving...
infantry. Bob & I caught a bus immediately afterwards, getting off at the Ford Station halfway into town to pick up my car. The new wax job makes it look pretty snappy, & the motor tuneup & grease job puts it in tip-top shape. Got off pretty reasonably, too. Bob should finish up at squadron three today & will report at two on Sun. night. He will be down to Miami before long. After flunking the low pressure chamber test Pettit expected to get VO-VS, but happily enough got VP, which will be more to his liking. Saturday - June 20 Ordered my officer uniforms through Simpson & Co. today. Am getting them about as reasonably as possibly can be done, but it still is robbery. Its a crime that the gov't doesn't handle the uniforms. Bob, Ken & I went to a show after supper - not much good. Sent a telegram to Gus for father's day.
