Saving...
Sun - June 21 Up late - didn't go to church for it was raining to beat the band, & I had already checked in my raincoat. Bob & I went to the movie on the station about 3 oclock - no good. We went out to Martines for their Sun. night buffet supper. Did there meet Stuart Hemingway's girl whom he gave an engagement ring just a few days ago. Nice, refined looking sort of girl. Nearly all the boys with commission, only a few weeks away are thinking of marriage. Sounds good. Drove Bob out to Ellyson where he starts in tomorrow. Bid him farewell about 8 oclock. Mon - June 22 And still no orders - am enjoying this rest & yet anxious to get onto Miami. Rained most of the day. All of the squadrons except four were secured. Bob came back to the main station from Ellyson, and I drove Haugebak & him back out after supper.
