Saving...
found it extremely interesting, as I always do anything that concerns Britain's sturdy Prime Minister. He is the man in history who has completely caught my fancy and imagination. I read his every speech and writing with absorbing interest. He is a man of thought, of action, of resolution, and the man of the hour in the world's greatest crisis. Thursday - June 25 Finished checking out except for that which can't be done until the day I leave, tomorrow. Played nine holes of golf by myself. Not nearly so enjoyable as when you have companionship. Went out to Martines for supper with Hotchkiss, Barker, & Glen Carlson from Chariton. Will be the last meal I'll take out there for a long time. Kay Kyser and troupe were on the station for their weekly evening show. I had no ticket so couldn't go - Guess they were very good. Said goodbye to Len Swelt & Welsh two good boys now in P-boats.
