Saving...
Friday - June 26 Got off for Miami just about noon. Stopped over night in Tallahassee in a very comfortable little cabin camp. It was a hot, uninteresting drive - no pretty scenery, no traffic, no nothing. After supper we took a turn about the Florida State Teachers College ogling the girls with more than passing interest. Remained quite passive, however. Saw the show "Moontide" later in the evening - fair. Coming out on to the street again I ran in to Bob Vernon who use to teach my geology lab at Iowa when I was a freshman. He now has a wife, 25 lbs more flesh, & a job as ass't state geologist. Though the trip over was quite dull my thoughts turned to farming & how I would like that kind of a life up in Iowa. Where to get the money to buy a decent farm - that is the problem. Man, I get eager of the prospect sometimes.
