Saving...
Sat - June 27 Got started out of Tallahassee about 9 AM and with constant driving drew into Ft. Myers about 5:15 PM. Nothing of unusual interest happened along the way - quite hot though. Had to stay all night in a hotel, because we could find no decent looking cabin camp. Didn't rest very well because of the heat. Sun. - Jun 28 Didn't get under way until about 10 oclock. While crossing the Everglades an unhappy incident occurred - the right hind tire blew out - or rather a large portion of the rubber was torn away, although the tube didn't blow out. Didn't take long to get the spare on, however, and we were soon under way again. Pulled into Miami about 12:30. Drove around a little then registered at the Caribbean Hotel in Miami Beach. Went swimming in the ocean for a couple of hours, then went out for a bite to eat & and a show.
